Festival of Trees- Downtown Saint Albans is a week of magical events that usher in the holiday season. Downtown Saint Albans pulls out all the stops to give you an amazing holiday experience each and every day of the festival. November 30-December 8, 2024.
11/30- Saturday- 4:30-7:30pm- Hallmark In The Park– The kick off event if the Festival of Trees- Downtown Saint Albans includes the tree lighting ceremony, community caroling, Santa Meet & Greet, Studio 3 Dancers, Elite Gems Cheer, Free Hot Chocolate with Northside Baptist Church, Snow Globe photo opportunities, Create your own decoration with St. Albans Community Arts, Make your own Reindeer Food with Elite Gems Cheer, Real Christmas Tree Sale, and Food Trucks!!!!
12/2- Monday- 4:30-6pm- Winter Games– Swing by Taylor park with the kids to have some fun, Live chess board game, musical dots, Gaga Ball Pit, and other outdoor games. Hosted by the local Girl & Boy Scout troops.
12/3- Tuesday- 5:30pm- Holiday Paint Night “I’ll Be Gnome for Christmas”. Spend a fun evening painting step by step with your instructor Kat. Great for all ages. Hosted at Awaken Yoga & Creative Arts Studio, 13 Center Street. More information and ticket link here
12/3- Tuesday- 6 pm- Holiday PJ Storytime. A favorite holiday tradition for families join the Saint Albans Free Library in your favorite PJ’s for some holiday stories, snacks and treats, and perhaps even a visit from the man in a red suit.
12/4- Wednesday- 7pm- Free Holiday Movie. The Welden Theatre is excited to bring you a holiday movie night For Free!! Title will be released closer to the show. Please remember seating is limited and entrance is on a first come first serve basis. Learn more here
12/5- Thursday- 5pm pre-race/6:30 Race Time- 14th Annual Running of the Bells. The Running of the Bells is a holiday fun run, walk, jog that involves participants attaching jingle bells to their hats, shoes, gloves, coats, strollers, and wherever they would like to in order to make some noise as they move. The course is 1 mile in length and takes participants through downtown St. Albans while enjoying all the holiday lights. Trophies will be awarded at the end of the event for best holiday costumes! 12/6- Friday- 6-11pm- Monte Carlo Holiday Festival. A Gala like no other!!! Step into opulence, glitz, and glamour at our casino night. Play some fun games, raise money for our charities and enter to win fabulous prizes. Fun casino style games like Blackjack, Roulette, and Craps. Food and cash bar provided by Mill River Brewing Company. Music and dancing with DJ Bun. This will not be like any Gala in history. $40 single/$70 pair Learn more here and get your tickets today
12/7- Saturday- 11am-2pm- Santa’s Workshop. Meet the big man in red, do a holiday craft, and enjoy some fun with the Saint Albans Museum. This years event will be in the St. Mary’s Parish Center on Fairfield Street. Free and open to all ages.
12/7 – Saturday- 11am-4pm- Entertainment in City Hall featuring Dance. Come to the historic City Hall Auditorium to enjoy performances by three local dance troupes: Studio 3, Electric Youth, and Up North Dance. Coffee and hot chocolate available for purchase, and a free kids activity will be available by the local Girl and Boy Scouts.
